We had a little miscommunication with our initial group of testers for our video project. We gave some of our members a new Flip Video cameras and gave them access to the Mixpo video editing platform. It was at this point that I probably should have told them to keep everything they made to themselves until we could put together our marketing message and complete the technical aspects of making the product available and integrated with ActiveRain.
The Mixpo video editing platform is a product that we are currently integrating with ActiveRain. You will be able to host and edit your videos directly from video.activerain.com, and then take the videos in your library and embed them directly to your blog posts with the click of one button. You will also be able to embed them wherever on the internet you would like outside of ActiveRain. One of the cool features that fits nicely with everyone's blogging efforts is the ability to add links directly into your videos. So if you are giving a tour of a listing, to potential buyers, you can include links to the listing on your site, or to surrounding attractions you have written about in your blog. The tracking features leave very little to be desired as Sara talks about here.
On the whole, the real estate industry is slow to adopt new technologies. Video has been out there for a while now as a way for people to market their business. Some people are taking advantage of it. We want to open that up to a wider audience. We believe that by harnessing the power of ActiveRain we can help each other move forward with video. We wanted to demo the product with five members so that between the five of them and the three of us here (Brad, Rich and me) we could really drill down on how real estate agents are going to be successful with video.
We felt that if we delivered some quality examples of how to use video to market your business, that people would jump on board with the idea. The medium is rapidly expanding on the internet, and we want our members to be at the forefront of that revolution.
The part I forgot to tell the people doing the test run was that we wanted to keep a low profile until we got things integrated. Well it's too late for that now. The inbox over at Mixpo has been swamped with people asking questions about how to get started with the service (along with some more technical questions as well) So on the fly, we have set up a way for people to get access to mixpo at the same price we will be launching it at coming soon. (Please note the integration with ActiveRain is not yet live, so you will be accessing your Mixpo account directly at mixpo.com and not video.activerain.com)
If you would like to get a jump on the competition and give the coming soon ActiveRain video editing platform a run, you can set it up today. For $29/month, or $290/year (two months free) we will get you access directly to Mixpo. Since their isn't currently a way to directly purchase the product, you will need to use paypal. You can transfer the money to ActiveRain's paypal account, the email address is billing@activerain.com. Once you make the transfer, send me an email letting me know and I will get you turned on. You can also directly email me any specific questions you might have.
As we go through the integration, anything that you produce on the 'Mixpo' product will show up on your video.activerain.com account once the integration is complete. You can be one of the innovators that helps us bring video mainstream in real estate!!
Friends, followers, and connections are the way of the future.

Whoops! You should tell a girl if you want her to keep her mouth shut. :) I heard, "Take this, use it and tell them about it." I did!!
(Sorry Mixpo!)
Ok - you two gilrs stated this!! lol!!
Bob, Is that special 12 months for the price of 10 for a limited time?
"Once you make the transfer, send me an email letting me know and I will get you turned on."
And...well...okay, I'm not saying anything I might regret!
Bob - this is fantastic news, I have been getting some very interested members emailing and calling me about how much, when, where etc. Thanks for making this happen sooner than later. I can't wait to share all I have discovered in the benefits of using Mixpo. Links, reports, tracking, ease of use etc. Thanks!!
BTW - I saw you hijacked my Blog, you owe me a root beer and some frog legs now. LOL :-)

Sorry Bob, .....payback! LOL!~ (delete if you want )
Okay....so what happened to the outside blog? Oops...another subject.
I have the flip on order from newegg but wanted to know about the Mixpo thing. How does it differ from You Tube and why would you recommend this?
Can't wait! This sound wonderful.
Where the heck did that cat go?? here kitty kitty kitty jump back in the darn bag. Oops!!! Too late.
This sounds like it will be an excellent add on for AR. I think I'll wait for the official launch. Bertha has been working out and is looking real good. She keeps talking about doing some neighborhood tours as a roving reporter. I'm not sure what that's about. I'm also not sure the neighborhoods are ready for Bertha. But just maybe.......
I guess I'm guilty of jumping the gun. I had a chance to check it out yesterday after reading Sarah's post and email them. I'm very interested in the tracking technology, but may just use you-tube until it's active here.
I was off on a tangent trying to figure out how to get my videos from my Sony camcorder to my computer, I almost went out and bouth the flip camera until I fianlly figured it out around 10 p.m. last night!
Missy,
When the video is complete and the creator is satisfied with it, when they go to “Save and Publish” they should click the “Syndicate” tab, and check the appropriate box. Checking that box adds it to our syndication feed to get it out to Google, Yahoo, AOL Video, etc. Note too that syndication is improved by filling in as much info as possible in the Business Profile for the account, as well as a good title, keywords, and description for the individual videos.
But they can work and mess with it first, then syndicate it when they feel it’s ready.
Bob:
This sounds exciting. Will be watching to see where this goes. Thanks for sharing.
Bob,
I'm interested in getting started so let me get this straight;
Have I got it right? - this is awesome stuff.
How long did it take you to upload your video of your son? Youtubes been taking me hours and killing my productivity and creativity ;)
Thanks!!
Once I get a camera, I will definitely be checking into mixpo!!!
AWESOME! I'm anxious to see how this works.
I am excited to learn more about this...are you offering a demo/ trial?
Bob,
I did exactly that - saw Brad's post, went immediately to Mixpo, and then in search of pricing. Mixpo must be stunned by the response. Do you have an idea when the Activerain platform will be available? I think I'd like a jump start on the competition also!
PS. I LOVE my new logo for my website. I still have more work to do but it's doing the trick for now!
I'm a bit confused with all these posts... is this Mixpo platform available now? It's July 4. In searching all these posts, I can't quite figure any of this out.
I would be interesting in trying it out, but is it still in the stage where we send money to billing@activerain.com? Or is this a full fledged product by now?
Thanks for the information, Would like to know more information. Where do I get a demo?
