I'll be telling the story of what happened with my laptop in the next few days. It's a great tale in customer service.

I literally just got it back in my hands a few minutes before I wrote this post. So yes Bill, once I get my couple hundred emails sorted out, I will certainly be back in the middle of things. :)

Bob, I hate traveling through airports with my laptop. Have to take it out and run it through all by themselves.

Now you've just scared me off from traveling via plane with my laptop.   I've heard other horror stories - but never one that took 5 days to resolve.  Glad you have it back Bob.

They didn't confiscate my laptop..............I had a run in with the security people because they were treating me like an idiot.........this lasted for a while at which point I stormed out of the security booth and I forgot my laptop...............so it was my own fault...........but I hate being interrogated in a demeaning manner like I am stupid, so I called their bluff and walked out (unfortunately without my computer).

It's actually very shocking they let me walk out, and even more shocking that they actually turned my computer in to the lost and found.

And Linda...........after two days in Vegas, I probably did look that suspicious.............

Bob - I actually lost my Treo cell phone (taken) at the security check point when leaving Las Vegas.  I will tell that story later also.

Bob, was it the look or the smell? Last time I was in vegas, I never left the tables until they made me go shower.

Ewwww...talk about addict kind of action...no shower?  Bob, don't answer...it might make us think less of you haha.

the convulsive state actually starts when you get the laptop back and you realize that you have 5 days worth of email piled up................strangely enough, when I lost it, there was this very eerie calm that came over me..........crazy!!

well then they perfectly orchestrated it...........if they know how to push my buttons as well as the lady at the security checkpoint, they could get whatever they wanted out of me :)

Incident at the security checkpoint!!! This is getting unbelieveable. Last time I went though the Orlando airport, there were little comment boxes to stuff comments about our experiences. I almost missed my plane taking them up on the opportunity.

I had someone ask me today when I was going to write about my experience at the airport. I decided it was probably a better idea that I do it before our next business trip in January to the Inman conference. That way I can write a few posts between this one (where it could be interpreted that I am a "hot-head") and the one detailing my experience at the airport (where there will be no mistaking I am a hot head).

It will also serve as a reminder for me to keep my cool even if the person doing the security proceeds to treat me like I am stupid :) 

Ahhh...
